RESULTS MADE UNTIL THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE REGISTRY OF ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES

21 / 06 / 2021

2,500 administrative procedures conducted by 85 state administration bodies have been catalogued, while through simplification or elimination of 136 procedures savings for the business sector of 32 million euros annually have been made

Before the Registry of Administrative Procedures was set up, it had been necessary to catalogue all the procedures, analyse them, and prepare recommendations for their optimization. The cataloguing of administrative procedures has indicated there is much room for better coordination, coherence in the acting of state administration bodies, and extensive implementation of the Law on General Administrative Procedure, primarily when it comes to ex officio data acquiring. The Registry ensures uniform and efficient public administration operating in procedures vital for the business sector.

The overview of all activities aimed at optimization of procedures can be found in the Programme for the Simplification of Administrative Procedures and Regulations ‘e-PAPER’ and the Action Plan for Implementation of the ‘e-PAPER’ Programme, whose implementation is coordinated by the Public Policy Secretariat of the Republic of Serbia. Since the start of the cataloguing process by 31 December 2020 recommendations for the simplification of 136 procedures had been implemented, whereby total savings for the business sector of almost 32 million euros annually were achieved.
