The objectives of the project “EU for Business Environment Digitalization – D4BE” are:
The project focuses on the digitalization of administrative procedures based on the business episode model. A business episode encompasses the rights and obligations (administrative procedures and administrative requirements) of business entities that must be fulfilled in order to carry out a specific aspect of business activity in accordance with applicable regulations. A business episode represents a logically and chronologically integrated chain of public administration services required for the efficient performance of targeted business activities, such as starting a business, fulfilling tax obligations, employing workers, closing a business, and others.
The RAP and the accompanying portal were established in 2021. The RAP portal provides information on more than 2,500 administrative procedures for businesses and more than 700 administrative procedures for citizens. The portal will also include information on digitalized business episodes, along with improved search tools enabling end users to find information more efficiently.
By establishing e-tools for reviewing priority reforms in the field of the business environment, users will be able to access an overview of measures and activities from planning documents recorded in the Unified Information System for Planning, Monitoring Implementation, Coordination of Public Policies and Reporting, as well as indicators used to monitor achieved results related to the business environment.
The project “EU for Business Environment Digitalization – D4BE” is part of a broader initiative implemented within the project “EU for Better Business Environment – EU4BE”, which is carried out by the World Bank. More information about this initiative can be found here.
Financial resources for the implementation of the project “EU for Better Business Environment – EU4BE”, as well as the project “EU for Business Environment Digitalization – EU4BED”, have been provided by the European Union. The value of the EU4BED project is EUR 2,150,000. The project is implemented by the Public Policy Secretariat, and the implementation deadline is 31st March 2025.
