Objective: The goal of the Project is improving selected aspects of the business environment through building mechanism for better stakeholder coordination and action in support of business environment reform, optimization of administrative procedures, inventory and optimization of administrative requests and the digitalization of administrative procedures by the model of a business episode.
Project activities are grouped into three components:
- Within Component 1, the establishment of a platform for coordinating reforms in the area of the business environment is foreseen. The aim of this component is to improve the coordination of the existing mechanisms for achieving the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as to more effectively connect these mechanisms with the mechanisms for the coordination of donor aid. For supporting establishment of the Platform and identification of Government of the Republic of Serbia priorities, thematic meetings/workshops are held with the goal of linking representatives of the economy, public administration and other interested parties.
- Within Component 2, the continuation of activities to simplify the business environment is foreseen, through: optimization of 350 administrative procedures, list of administrative requirements, preparation of a guide “How to start and run a business in accordance with regulations”, and improvement of the methodology for providing public administration services. Within the special subcomponent, funds were provided for the digitization of 20 business episodes related to areas of smart specialization;
- Within Component 3, funds are provided for financing the priority reforms of the Government of the Republic of These funds are intended for the financing of projects that contribute to the realization of the priorities of the Government in the area of the business environment, and for which funds are not provided in the budget, or from the funds of other donors. Funds within this component will be allocated through public calls that will be announced periodically.
