NEW DIGITALIZED SERVICES OF MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND WATER MANAGEMENT – 12 ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES OF VETERINARY DIRECTORATE

Belgrade, 25 March 2022 – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management continues with good practice of providing digital services and digitalization of administrative procedures. After 22 digital services of Plant Protection Directorate, as of today 12 more services of Veterinary Directorate are available on the e-Government Portal. New electronic services of Veterinary Directorate, together with the already existing 42 services for businesses, which were introduced with the Program e-Paper on the e-Government Portal, represent only the first step in availability of public administration services through electronic communication and acquiring necessary conditions for performing the activites in a simple and a fast way.

These procedures are now faster and cheaper, and registration in registries is available in a few simple steps:

  • User on the e-Government Portal fills out an electronic form, submits relevant documentation and, if necessary, makes an electronic payment;
  • System automatically accesses the electronic registries and acquires data by official duty that are recquired in the decision-making process;
  • Applicant regularly receives announcements on possible addition of documents and changes in status of subject;
  • Finally, licence is delivered electronically in e-Box of applicant (user) on the e-Government Portal and is permanently available to user and relevant organs for all further requirements.

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is one of the first ministries to have dedicated itself to digitalization of its services available to citizents and businesses. As of today, the first 12 digitalized procedures/services in the field of veterinary services. By digitalizing these procedures we make easier and make possible cheaper and faster operations to business subjects during registration in registries of Veterinary Directorate. These are initial steps towards digitalization of services in the field of veterinary. Veterinary Directorate will continue to digitalize its services in order to make it easier for veterinary businesses to perform their duties.

As part of efforts to upgrade business environment and cut down administrative burden for businesses, the Government of Serbia conducts a wide-ranging reform process, so that the public administration be at the service of businesses and citizens. Digitalization of administrative procedures for businesses is part of the Program e-Paper, more precisely project for improvement of business environment in Serbia, as realized by the Public Policy Secretariat, the Office for Information Technologies and e-Government, of the Republic of Serbia, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group, with the financial support of the UK Good Governance Fund and the British Embassy in Belgrade. Up until now, 54 electronic services for businesses are publicly available on the e-Government Portal and 10 services on the portal of the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

First digitalized procedures of Veterinary Directorate include registering in the Registry of objects for keeping, farming and trading animals.
