26 / 01 / 2024

On Friday, 26 January 2024, in the premises of the Niš Chamber of Commerce, a workshop/consultations with business entities was successfully held to improve the regulatory framework in the field of hospitality industry. This workshop was organized by the World Bank, the Public Policy Secretariat and the Niš Chamber of Commerce.

Through the “EU for a better business environment” (EU4BE) Project, the Government of the Republic of Serbia continues its efforts on improving the business environment in cooperation with the World Bank and with the support of the European Union, together with the Public Policy Secretariat and the Ministry of Economy. These efforts include the simplification of the regulatory framework and the creation of instruments that help business entities better understand and more easily and effectively fulfil their legal obligations.

One of the main topics covered during the workshop in Niš was the Register of Administrative Procedures Portal (RAP Portal), which represents a single point of contact for the businesses and citizens, and provides data on all administrative procedures and requirements in various areas of business.

There was also a presentation of an instrument that serves for an easier understanding of the requirements of the business people in this area, joining them together under the so called “business episode”. This instrument is currently under preparation and will be available in digital form. It shows the sequence of necessary steps in performing daily business in a specific economic activity, in one place and in an up-to-date manner.

The workshop was attended by 14 participants, 6 of whom were businessmen.

We would like to thank the Niš Chamber of Commerce for the trust shown, the cooperation achieved and the organization of this workshop, which played an important role in contributing to an easier, more efficient and more transparent operation of business entities.
