Public Policy Management Platform – A tool for civil servants and interested public

16 / 11 / 2023

The Public Policy Secretariat continuously provides professional and methodological support to proponents of public policy documents and regulations in order to support effective implementation the Law on the Planning System of the Republic of Serbia.

With the support of project “EU for public administration reform within the framework of the Sectoral Reform Agreement” – EU4PAR, the Public Policy Secretariat produced a series of manuals and handbooks with instructions, templates, tools and examples that are publicly available on the page dedicated to manuals.

After the handbooks were created, the need for their digitization was recognized by the Public Policy Secretariat, and with the help of the EU4PAR project, the Public Policy Management Platform was developed with the aim of further improving the provision of methodological support to proponents of public policy documents and regulations, as well as to the general public.

The Public Policy Management Platform is divided into two parts:

  1. Public part of the Platform – contains tools, examples, and practical advice for proper management of the public policy system. The public part of the Platform combines, in digital form, more than 300 pages and 200 headings, which integrate the provisions of the law on Planning System of the Republic of Serbia, and the experiences gained in its application, in a way that enables navigation from general requirements to specific examples and tools in a quick and easy way. Navigation through the content of the Platform is facilitated with integrated active links between chapters, as well with always visible list of additional information related to the selected topic. Answers to the most frequently asked questions are also provided.
  2. A private part of the Platform with dedicated functionalities – it is intended exclusively for registered users to work on drafting public policy documents and regulations with the use of digitized tools, which enables joint work on the same text at the same time.

The Public Policy Secretariat invites all interested actors in the process of creation, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of public policies and regulations to use the Public Policy Management Platform in order to improve public policies and regulations in the Republic of Serbia.
