The Public Policy Secretariat (PPS) held a workshop titled “Revision of the Programme for Improving Public Policy Management and Regulatory Reform for the Period 2021–2025 with the Action Plan” in Vršac on 3 and 4 October 2024. The workshop was supported by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), under the Public Finance Reform – Agenda 2030 Project.
Over the two-day workshop, the VI meeting of the Working Group for Monitoring the Implementation, Analysis and Revision of the Programme for Improving Public Policy Management and Regulatory Reform 2021-2025 (WG) was also held. The focus of the meeting was on the Programme revision process that was launched to ensure relevance, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability during the further implementation of the Action Plan until the end of 2025. The text of the Programme with the Action Plan was also published on the e-Consultation portal, thus ensuring transparency and participation in the process of implementing the revision. During the revision process, in order to prepare the Draft revised version of the Action Plan, meetings were held with the representatives of the institutions responsible for measures and activities established by the existing Action Plan of the Programme. During the discussion at the workshop, the WG members provided their proposals, comments and suggestions on the prepared document of the revised Action Plan.
The main conclusion from the workshop is that the WG recommendations should be included in the Draft revised Action Plan to improve the final version of the document in line with the objectives of the Programme revision. Adoption of the Decision on Amendments to the Programme for Improving Public Policy Management and Regulatory Reform for the Period 2021–2025 with the Action Plan, is expected in the coming period, which would finalize the revision process.
