Thursday, 15 December, the Draft Development Plan of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina for 2023-2030 was presented within a public hearing held in the Assembly of AP Vojvodina. President of the Provincial Government, Mr Igor Mirović, Head of the Good Governance Sector of the German Development Agency, dr. Stefan Hayek, Head of the Democratic Governance of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Melina Papageorgiou Trippolini, and Public Policy Secretariat Director, Ms. Bojana Tošić addressed the gathered in the introductory part of the meeting.

“On behalf of the institution that monitored the preparation of this Development Plan from the very beginning, I would like to emphasize that the preparation of the Development Plan of the AP Vojvodina is a very significant and bold step at the moment when we are faced with crisis and long-term planning represents somewhat of a challenge. I would particularly like to commend the transparent and inclusive method in which this document was prepared, which is crucial for the creation of a sound document to be later promoted as an example of good practice. The special value of this process is the inclusion of young people who were given the opportunity to see the future development from their perspective and from their point of view, and that they will be the important promoters of the implementation of this development plan”, said the PPS Director Bojana Tošić in her address to the gathering.

She also emphasized that the Public Policy Secretariat is at the disposal of all local self-government units on the territory of Vojvodina during the implementation of their development plans, in order to contribute to the achievement of the objectives set in the Development Plan of AP Vojvodina.

The public hearing on the Draft Development Plan is being held in the period from 9 December 2022 to 25 January 2023, at the invitation of the Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government
